The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
With Hurricane Irene now behind us, many people are starting to let their guards down as far as hurricanes go, but especially if you live anywhere along the coast, one thing that is important for you to realize is that hurricane season is not entirely over, and it is far better to know how to prepare before you face a hurricane than to have to scramble to figure things out when a hurricane is heading your way. You probably have a fairly good idea of some of the things you should do in case of a hurricane if you have a house along the coast, but here are a few things you may not have thought of, so make sure you file these thoughts away so you will be prepared next time a hurricane hits. There tends to end up being a shortage of a few important items when a hurricane is on its way to a town or a city; two of the most important of these items are water and gas, so when a hurricane is headed your way, make sure you stock up on bottled water in your house, and make sure you fill the gas tank in your car completely. Many people fail to realize just how strong hurricane winds can be, and this leads them to leave a lot of things outside that end up becoming projectiles and destroying parts of their property; if you have any patio furniture, a grill, or anything else that you keep outside, either tie these things down with bungee cords before the storm hits or take the time to bring these things inside! And after all the work you have done to ensure the safety of your property, it can be easy to forget about taking care of yourself as well; make sure you are well sheltered before the hurricane hits, in a place where you will be protected from flying glass, high winds, and flooding – as taking care of yourself will be the most important thing of all when a hurricane is on its way!

How To Create Good "Time Budgets"
The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
The first thing that probably comes to mind when you think of the budget is money, but one thing that is important for you to realize is that there are other areas of your life that you should budget as well, and time is among the most important of these areas; when you fail to budget your time well, you may often end up feeling like there are not enough hours in the day or in the week, but when you create a good time budget, you will be able to take the number of hours in the day or the week and make sure they suit your needs. When you are creating a time budget, you should start out with your workdays, making sure that you are able to get all the work done that needs to be done on these days, while still having as much free time as possible; this can often be accomplished by going into work a bit early to beat the morning traffic, which will also allow you to leave work a bit early in the evening, so that you can beat the traffic again, and have more free time in the evening before bed. If you are married and have children, there is also a good chance that you have at least one day each week that is a “responsibility day,” where you need to do all sorts of things around the house and around the yard; the best way to budget your time on these days is to give yourself a set number of hours you will spend on responsibilities, and to stop working on your responsibilities as soon as you have used up this allotted time – pushing anything you have not yet finished over to the next "responsibility day." And one thing that can really cause people to feel as though they do not have as much time as they would like to have is focusing on things that are not fun during their “fun days”; on your days off, get in the habit of forcing yourself to not think about any of your work tasks or personal responsibilities, but instead, enjoy these days as much as you can, getting the most out of them. When you take this approach to your days, you will cause your weeks to feel much more fulfilled, and will create a situation where you feel like you are taking full advantage of the hours you have in the week.

Three Modern Literary Masters
The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
There is a good chance that you were instructed to read a number of the great authors of the past when you were in high school or college, but since that time, you may have realized that you have really read nothing but mainstream, commercial fiction - and if you are a big fan of reading, you may have been wondering where else you can look for authors to sample; while each reader's tastes are certainly unique to their own self, there are a few modern authors who are likely to be taught to high school and college students years from now (and in fact, who are being taught in some high schools and colleges already!), and these are certainly authors worth giving some attention. One of the authors you should take a look at is Cormac McCarthy - a name you may have heard in recent years, as a couple of his books have been turned into movies; but even before "No Country for Old Men" was turned into an Oscar-winning movie, and even before "The Road" was turned into an acclaimed film, McCarthy had already landed two books on "Time" magazine's list of 100 greatest English language novels of the last 70 years, and he had won a National Book Award. A more recent winner of the National Book Award (but one who you may not have heard of just yet, as none of his books have been turned into major films) is Colum McCann; Colum McCann is an Irish writer, but his novel "Let the Great World Spin" is considered to be one of the greatest and most comprehensive tales of New York City ever told in literature! And over the last 10 years, one of the authors who has changed the face of literature more than anyone else is Dave Eggers, who made a splash with his memoir "A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius," and who has since grown himself into one of the most respected fiction writers alive! If you are trying to find some new authors to start reading, you should certainly consider giving some of these men a look - after all, it is tough to go wrong with some of the greatest authors alive today.

It is Easy to Grow Strawberries.
The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
You typicall begin seeing strawberries show up in the springtime of the year. Even though they smell wonderful you are most likely disappointed by the lack of flavor when you bit into them. It can be such a let down when your nose says they are wonderful but your mouth finds them not so impressive. Growing your own is a very simple solution to this. It doesn’t necessarily take a ton of room to do this but clearly the more room you have the more strawberries you can get. One important step to do before you buy some is learn how to properly grow them. It isn’t too hard but having a base knowledge is always a good thing. Grow the best Strawberries is a great book to learn a ton of tips and tricks to growing strawberries. There are two types of strawberries, June bering and ever bearing Ever bearing strawberries bloom multiple times a season, allowing you strawberries throughout the summer. June bearning berries bloom one time a season. So the question would be why would you select June bearers? They are generally a larger berry than ever bearing. Strawberries are nice because they don't require a ton of room to grow. If you have a small patio you can purchase a few stackable planters that will hold twenty or more plants in a very small area. Ever bearers would work great since they don't send out a lot of runners. A pyramid garden is a great way to go with June bearers. Since they send out a ton of runners they can populate an entire pyramid planter in a few years. Once you begin growing your own strawberries you may have more then you can use when they are ripe. You have a few options at this point. You can freeze them or possibly make them into a jelly. Canning kits for jelly are fairly inexpensive and making jelly is very easy to learn. There are a number of recipes online to help with this.

Shaping Your Creative Mind
The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
One thing you need to realize if you have an interest in any area of the arts is that you are not alone in your desire to make a living doing whatever it is in the arts that you love; all across the country (and all around the world!), there are thousands of people who have this same desire, and even though you may not want to think of it as such, you are actually in competition with all of these people! This realization is not intended to be discouraging, but is instead intended to help you understand just how hard you must work to rise above all the others against whom you are competing if you hope to make a living in the arts; even though each area of the arts is distinctly different from others, there is one thing they all share in common, and that is the fact that it is important for aspiring artists of any kind to know how to shape their creative mind. The first thing you will want to do in order to shape your creative mind is constantly immerse yourself in creativity - even in kinds of creativity that do not pertain to your particular passion; this means that even if you are an artist, you should immerse yourself in reading or listening to music, or even if you want to be a writer, you should spend time watching films and looking at paintings! And even when you are not being directly creative (that is, during those times when you are not working on a particular creative project), you should be making an effort to live creatively; this can mean any number of things to any number of different people, but figure out what "living creatively" means for you - and then make sure you are doing it! And if shaping your creative mind is a desire of yours, the most important thing of all will be that you constantly create; even on days when you do not feel like it, or on days when you do not necessarily "have the time," you should make time to create, as this will help you to continue to shape your creative mind.

What Options to Look for in a Tent
The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
The entire family can enjoy a week out tent camping. Tents are great now days and there are a number of options to consider. You may want to think about how big of a tent you need. If you are like me, you may prefer to get a bit larger tent then you need. I personally like to have a tent rated for two more people then I actually plan to have sleeping in the tent. This will give you a bit of extra room to move around and keep backpacks and clothing in the tent with you. The rain fly should be your next consideration. This is the piece of fabric that goes over the top of the tent. You want to protect the main tent from getting wet if it rains. That is why you should consider a full rain fly. The seams on the main tent are much less likely to leak if they don't get wet in the first place. You will have to consider if you want the poles to be made from aluminum or carbon fiber. Carbon fiber poles are light weight but can also be fragile if not taken care of properly. Some people have reported them snapping, I have never had this happen personally though. Many people will recommend aluminum poles. Aluminum poles may be stronger then the carbon fiber ones, but they are also heavier. It is ultimately a personal choice as to what will work for you. The other thing to consider about carbon poles though is many companies are running elastic through them. This allows the poles literally to be pre connected where they should be. I also personally like a tent that has a very open net top of the tent. This increases ventilation in the tent and if you have a large rain fly and an open net tent you can take the rain fly off on clear nights and appreciate the stars. There is nothing better then falling asleep while staring at the stars. Tent camping can be a great way to bond with the family and also gain respect and appreciation for nature. There are many tents that will fit your needs. Ideally if you can find a store that has the tents set up you can really take a close look at what you are buying. You can walk around in them and see if they will fit your needs.

Tips For Keeping Your Fountain Pen In Great Shape
The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
You will not have much need for anything but a basic pen if you do every bit of your work and writing on a computer, and never use a pen for anything except to sign the occasional check or document; on the other hand, however, you may discover that writing with a fountain pen is the most enjoyable way to go if you find yourself having to write more often than you might think would be necessary in this computer-driven age, as a fountain pen allows them to write in a smooth and untroubled manner with a pen that comes to feel as though it is an extension of their actual hand! Of course, as great as a fountain pen is, it can also be more difficult to take care of than a regular ballpoint pen, so you will want to make sure you have a clear understanding of exactly the things you need to do in order to take good care of your fountain pen. One of the toughest things about switching from a ballpoint pen to a fountain pen is that (even though you might not realize it!) writing with a ballpoint pen requires you to press down on the paper fairly hard, but if you press down on the paper hard when writing with a fountain pen, you will risk ruining the nib of the pen itself; make sure you train yourself to "write lightly" when you are working with a fountain pen, as this will help you to enjoy the smoothness of the pen a lot more, and will keep the pen in much better shape. It will also be important that you store the pen properly, as a fountain pen that is stored with the nib pointing downward will often become clogged and present you with problems; always store the pen upright, so that the ink can drift away from the nib, and you will not end up having to worry about writing with a clogged writing instrument. And even though taking these steps will naturally keep your fountain pen in good shape, it will still be important that you clean your fountain pen every once in a while, in order to clear out any excess ink that might be sitting in it; run cold water through the body and the nib every three to six months, and let it dry out before you add ink again, and this fountain pen will last you for a long time to come!
