Anyone who has ever spent time out hiking or camping, or even just out for a casual walk on the trails, surely understands how valuable a water bladder is. When you have a water bladder, you never need to stop and open your water bottle in order to stay hydrated. You can keep right on walking while you pull the nozzle from your shoulder up to your mouth and drink water straight from a pouch in your backpack! As the water bladder has become more popular among outdoor enthusiasts, the Camelbak water bladder has been believed to be the best; which brings up the question, "Is the Camelbak the best?"

In order to decide which water bladder is the "best," you first need to decide how you would judge which is best. When you are judging a water bladder, the most important thing to judge is the durability of the water bladder; as for the Camelbak, it is practically indestructible as long as you use it the right way. In and of itself, this puts the Camelbak far ahead of its competition; after all, no one wants to open their pack and find water everywhere!

The Camelbak is again near the top when it comes to being able to easily drink water, without it spilling all over you. But the Camelbak works with far more packs, and it is also more durable than the Osprey.

As for whether the Camelbak is the easiest to use, this is the only area that is debatable; although the Camelbak is not difficult to use, it is a bit unwieldy at times as well. But when it comes right down to it, you would rather have a water bladder that is a bit awkward to fill and stuff in your pack and is also durable and effective than go with the alternatives!

There are certainly plenty of great options when it comes to choosing a water bladder to stuff into your pack when you hit the trail; but if you want to know the surest bet, it is definitely the Camelbak bladder!
