This league is where the best players in the world travel to play. Every spring the NHL starts the Stanley Cup Playoffs to determine a champion for their league. The physical abilities of all the participants in these playoffs are pushed to the absolute limit. The Stanley Cup cannot be won unless the mental strength and physical strength of each player is expended. Winning the Stanley Cup brings happiness to the players that they feel is never matched again. This trophy cannot be matched in terms of uniqueness. There is only one Stanley Cup; no other major trophy is only made once. This makes it even more special to win, knowing that only a select few people actually get to have their names engraved on it. Starting in the early 1990’s a tradition began that allowed each winner to spend an entire day with the trophy as well. Once again the effort needed to win this championship will be seen this June when a new champion gets crowned.
