How To Keep Cool In A Hot House

The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
With summer upon us, the best way to make it through would be for you to be in a house that is cool and comfortable all the time, but either because of the cost of cooling a house, or because of things outside of your control (such as a house or an apartment in which the air conditioning unit is not top-notch, or living in a part of the country where the houses do not have air conditioning), you will often be in a house that is much hotter than what you would like, and you will be looking for a way to cool down!

Fans: One of the best ways for you to keep a house cooler is with fans, as you can set them up in various areas to keep the air flowing (after all, there is nothing worse than hot, stagnant air!).

Shades drawn: Keeping the shades drawn in your house at all times will also go a long way in keeping your house cooler, as this will prevent the sun from pouring in and baking the rooms of your house until they are much hotter than you want them to be.

Cool drinks: Keeping a cold drink near you at all times is another great way to stay cool in a hot house; you can achieve this with a glass of lemonade or fruit punch, or – most optimally – you can achieve this by keeping a bottle of cold water close by.

Windows: Finally, pay close attention to the temperature outside, as there will actually be times when having your windows open will be the right thing to do; whenever the weather outside is cooler than the temperature in the house, open your windows and move the fans in front of them, as this will help to usher the cold air in.

In the end, of course, there will be an element of simply “waiting it out” until summer passes and the crisper weather returns, but when you take these steps, it will be much easier for you to handle the heat while it lasts!
