A Webcam with Incredible Capabilities

The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
Communication has changed drastically over the past 50 years. Written letters were the only way for humans to communicate over long distances for a very long time. A whole new world of communication was opened up when the invention of the telephone happened. Recently a lot has changed with the telephone itself as cell phones became the absolute standard for most people. The next logical step would be to communicate in a way that allows two people to see each other.

Webcams have thankfully allowed this dream to become a reality. There are various websites that now allow users to make video calls to each other with a web cam. Many computer companies build webcams directly into their machines. A main buying point for many that talk a lot online is a webcam in their new computer. The simplicity of these factory installed webcams usually leave them lacking many features. Many people as a result end up shopping for a web cam that can give them more quality.

Logitech 1080p Webcam Pro.

The Logitech Webcam Pro C910 is one of the most popular webcams on the market today. This Logitech camera offers quality up to 1080p full high definition, while many of the stock webcams offer much lower quality. A simple click is all that is needed to then upload this video to social media sites. High definition is also available during video calls in quality up to 720p. On the market there simply isn't a better web camera when quality of video produced is the main talking point.

Video calling has been a wonderful invention. If you are still using a stock webcam though, it is as if you are walking around with a suitcase cell-phone. Upgrade your webcam to the newest in technology and enjoy amazing quality. Your friends on facebook will love seeing all of the full high definition video that you can upload!

On the one hand, a dumb dog might go to the bathroom all over your house; on the other hand, a smart dog might learn how to open and close doors on its own. While a dumb dog can leave its toys all around the house, a smart dog can learn how to clean its toys up. And while a dumb dog might never even learn such simple commands as "sit," a smart dog can never cease to amaze you! But how do you get lucky and end up with a smart dog? Actually, all you have to do to end up with a smart dog is know the breeds that have the smartest dogs!

The Golden Retriever is the fourth smartest breed of dog. These dogs are beautiful and friendly as well as being intelligent; no wonder they are the most popular breed in the world!

German Shepherds are the third most intelligent breed of dogs. Because of thier use a police dogs, German Shepherds are sometimes thought of as menacing as well; but actually, it is because of their intelligence that they are used in this capacity.

Tips For Keeping Rabbits Out Of Your Garden

The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
Most people will agree that rabbits are irresistably cute and fuzzy and fun to look at, but at the same time, rabbits can also be a nuisance! In fact, you might very well have experienced the nuisance of rabbits yourself if you have a garden in your backyard, as they will come and eat up all your hard work! If you are wanting to know how you can keep rabbits out of your garden for good, here are a few tips to try!

Urine: As funny as it might be to tell someone you are going to your garden to "spread urine," this can be effective in keeping rabbits away! Rabbits will avoid areas that have the urine of cats, dogs, and foxes; this puts you in pretty good shape if you own a cat or dog, but actually, it puts you in good shape even if you do not have one, as you can buy fox urine online!

Fence: Another simple, sound solution to keeping rabbits out of your garden (and away from your plants!) is to build a fence. This does not have to be a heavy-duty fence in order to keep the rabbits away; it can actually be something small and simple. You can keep rabbits away with a fence as long as the fence goes at least six inches into the ground and rises above the ground about two or three feet.

Mixture: You can get really serious - and probably even have a bit of fun - making a spray mixture that will keep rabbits out of your garden. The ingredients that comprise the mixture are as follows: two cups of water, one egg, and a quarter cup of cayenne pepper.

After you stir all of these ingredients together, you should let them sit inside a spray bottle for about twelve hours. After this mixture has sat long enough, you can spray the perimeter of your garden with it, and this alone will be enough to keep rabbits away!

Pick one of these methods and go with it, and you should no longer have any problem keeping those pesky rabbits out of your garden!

Understanding What The Difference Is Between Art And Entertainment

The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
Sometimes, it can be difficult to figure out exactly what movie you should watch when you have a lot of choices, or what book you want to purchase when you are browsing through the bookstore, or what new CD will make you happy to buy, and one of the reasons why it can be difficult to decide at times is because there are so many choices! And while there will be plenty of factors that will determine exactly what you will and will not enjoy when it comes to movies, books, and music, one of the easiest ways for you to break down your choices is to distinguish between Art and Entertainment - and before you can distinguish between the two, of course, you need to understand the difference!

If you have ever wondered what the point of a movie is if it is not entertaining, you might also have found that you almost never agree with what critics say about different movies - and this can make it much easier for you to figure out which movies you are more likely to enjoy.

While it might seem like there is not point to a movie if it is not entertaining, many people actually enjoy "art" movies - movies that are perhaps made on a lower budget, without special effects and chase scenes; movies that cause the viewer to think, and to explore issues that are greater than their own self. You will typically see these sorts of movies featured at film festivals and winning awards at the beginning of the year; the same thing goes for books, with some books (such as those by John Grisham or James Patterson) being considered "commercial fiction," while others are considered "literature," and the same goes for music, with the divide falling between pop (or "popular") music and many other forms.

If you tend to appreciate art, there is a good chance you also are aware of this, and you know the sorts of movies, books, and music you will and will not enjoy; if, on the other hand, you are looking strictly for entertainment, be aware of the "purpose" of the movies, books, and music you are picking up - and realize that they will be far less likely to be pure entertainment if they are also created for art!

Tips For Taking Care Of A Russian Tortoise

The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
When it comes to the pets you can keep in your house, it seems that the options span everything from "perfectly normal" to "entirely strange," and from "extremely difficult to take care of" to "extremely easy to take care of"; if you have a Russian tortoise, you know that they are not especially strange or exciting, but you also know that they are about as easy to take care of as any pet out there; if you are thinking about getting a Russian tortoise, however, you should realize that - because of how easy they are to take care of - many people actually fail to take care of these hardy pets properly!

The first thing you will need to realize is that you will have to keep your Russian tortoise's tank heated, but it is not a good idea to use a floor heater in their tank, as this can actually end up burning their feet and belly; instead, you should use a heat lamp, and you should also make sure you give your Russian tortoise a place in their tank where they can hide away from the light when they want to sleep.

A Russian tortoise does not require a lot of food or water, but because of this, a lot of people end up changing out their food and water less frequently than they should; even though your Russian tortoise will not drink much, you should change out their water every day - and even when they leave a lot of the lettuce you have put in their tank uneaten, you should throw out the old lettuce each day and give them fresh lettuce to munch on (feeding and watering them every day - just as you would with a more demanding pet!).

Another mistake a lot of people make with their Russian tortoise is that they fail to clean out the mulch at the bottom of the tank as often as they should. Even though your Russian tortoise will not do much to dirty up the mulch, you should not go months at a time without changing it, as this will not be healthy for them; instead, change out their mulch about once per month - and once you keep these simple things in mind, you will be safe in the knowledge that you are taking proper care of your Russian tortoise!

Keeping Your Lawn Healthy During This Summer's Heat Wave

The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
If you live just about anywhere east of the Rocky Mountains, it is surely no secret to you that most of the country has been going through one of the heaviest heat waves on record, and there is no end in sight right now - and while this means many different things for different people, one thing this means for just about everyone is that it is not easy for them to keep their lawn alive! Of course, you will have to force yourself to be at least a little bit resigned with this heat wave, realizing that you will not be able to keep your lawn as lush as you usually like to keep it - but this does not mean that you have to allow your lawn to die; you simply have to know the right steps to take!

First of all, you will have to give your lawn water if you want it to survive this heat, but while you can usually get away with watering at the wrong time of day when it is not so hot, you will be in trouble if you try to water at the wrong time of day right now; the roots of your grass grow during the day, and because of this, early morning is the best time for you to water!

While the roots of your grass will grow during the day, the grass itself will grow at night, so if you have spots in your yard that seem like they are not doing well no matter how much water you are giving them in the morning, try to give them some extra water at night.

And finally, realize that while you certainly will not want your grass to die, grass can be regrown far more easily than shrubs and trees - so as much as you focus on your grass, make sure you are focusing on your shrubs and trees that much more!

Eventually this summer heat wave will go away, but until we reach that point at last, keep these tips in mind in order to keep your grass alive!

The Steps To Getting Your Book Published

The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
Plenty of people walk through Borders or Barnes & Noble and imagine seeing their name on the shelves. They want people to be able to go on Amazon and pick up a copy of their masterpiece. Maybe this book idea is for a non-fiction book that will conquer the bestseller charts, or for a novel that will knock people's socks off. Maybe their idea is for a self-help book that will help to change the world, or even for a cookbook that will light the culinary world on fire. For everyone who dreams of seeing their book in stores, the journey begins the same way: with an idea, and with a notebook and pen, typewriter, or computer. As these people write, they are alone, their world is quiet, and the journey is long. Once this portion of the journey ends, they are ready to celebrate! Furthermore, the writer wants everyone to read the book at last. So how do they make this happen? How do the manuscript pages become a book? How do the words make their way onto a bookshelf?

Well, the first thing you should know is that the solo portion of the journey is not finished at the end of the writing. Regardless of the kind of book you have written, you now must spend hours (and hours and hours) editing your work before you can show it to anyone. It's time to clean up any mistakes you made in spelling, grammar, or usage. Make sure everything makes sense. Check the pace - make sure it's not too slow and boring; make sure it's not too fast and confusing. Make sure people will actually enjoy reading it! It might be difficult to spend even more time flying solo, but enjoy it while you can. Once you complete this step, the door to world gets flung wide open!

Now, it is time to find a literary agent. Although this might seem simple enough, you have to understand that most agents receive anywhere from 100 to 200 letters every week. And they might take on two new clients in an entire year! And so, you must learn the art of writing a query letter. There are plenty of great websites to help you learn about query letter writing - in fact, many such websites are run by agents themselves.

Upon the successful completion of this step, it is time for you to move on to the most difficult step of all: waiting. Lots and lots of waiting!

It's not easy to get your book into bookstores; in fact, writing the actual book might be the easiest part. But if you can have patience and persevere all the way to the finish line, you will achieve something great, something that you can be proud of the rest of your life.

Which Has More Caffeine, Light Roast Or Dark Roast?

The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
When it comes to coffee, many coffee drinkers drink it for the caffeine, which makes it worthwhile to know which coffees have the most caffeine. After all, you will find a stronger, smokier flavor in dark roast coffee, but does this necessarily mean that it also has more caffeine? There are actually two answers to this question; the first answer is that, actually, dark roast does not have more caffeine; the second answer, on the other hand, is that it is complicated.

image

It is extremely beneficial to understand how coffee becomes "dark" or "light" roast before ever trying to understand which has more caffeine. Many people incorrectly assume that a bean is "light" or "dark" based on the bean itself. The truth is, the beans used in light roast coffee and dark roast coffee are usually the same exact beans, and the difference comes from the roasting process.

As a coffee bean is roasted, it expands, and the bean itself also loses both water and caffeine during the roasting process. This means three distinct things: 1) The longer a bean is roasted, the more caffeine it loses; 2) The longer a bean is roasted, the more water it loses; 3) The longer a bean is roasted, the more it expands, and the larger it becomes!

image

If you are making coffee at home, or if you are buying coffee at a typical coffee shop, your beans are measured out with a scoop. If you are ordering a darker roast, each bean being scooped up will be slightly larger than the beans for a light roast coffee; and what's more, each of these larger beans will have less caffeine in them. This means that a scoop of light roast beans not only has a few more beans than a scoop of dark roast beans, but also, each bean has more caffeine in it. This means that, in any place where the beans are measured by volume - which is the case in most coffee shops you will visit - light roast coffee has more caffeine than dark roast.

Finding A Good Tent

The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
One of the most important things for you to have if you are going on a camping trip is a good tent. But with such a great range of prices among tents, you will find - when you begin shopping for tents - that it is difficult to know exactly what you should buy. While each person has some specific, basic needs they will need to keep in mind when shopping for a tent, there are also some basic things everyone should look for.

Price: Once you start shopping for tents, you will find that prices range wildly - going anywhere from $25 to $250 for the same size tent! You should never just buy the cheapest option "because it costs the least amount of money"; but also, you should never automatically assume that the most expensive option is the best. You can actually get a great deal on a very good tent - but first, you must realize that there is more to consider when shopping for a tent than just the price.

Level of difficulty: Take time to read reviews on Amazon and on other websites before you purchase a tent, and find out how easy it is to set up. The last thing you want is to end up in the middle of nowhere with a tent that takes forever to put together!

Waterproof: Another thing you do not want is to set up camp in the middle of nowhere and wake up soaked in the middle of the night. Make sure the tent you purchase not only claims to be waterproof, but that the reviews you find back up this claim as well.

Weight: This is one of the major factors that can cause prices to change, as you will have to spend more for a light tent. It might be good to shell out the extra cash for a light tent if you will be going hiking, but otherwise, you should be just fine with a heavier tent.

Check out the Coleman SunDome if you are looking for a tent that is waterproof, easy to set up, and a great price for the weight; after you read the reviews, you will find that all these claims are definitely backed up!

Shopping For Furniture For Your Home

The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
If you are just starting out as a married couple, or if you are just moving into a bigger home than the one in which you have been living, there will be a lot of new purchases you will have to make, but one of the most important of these purchases will be the furniture you buy; after all, the furniture in your house will not only be a big expense, but will also be something you use all the time, and will be one of the first things your guests notice - and because of all these things, knowing how to shop for furniture properly will be extremely important!

Before you start looking at furniture, having a list of exactly what items you are looking for will be important; a lot of people will enter a furniture store and notice lots of things that "could come in handy," and they end up buying furniture they had no intention of buying - but when you head out with a list in hand, you will be able to avoid these "impulse purchases," and will be able to ensure that you are not ending up with unnecessary items that do nothing but take up space in your house.

Not only should you know exactly what furniture you need to shop for, but you should also know exactly what sort of style you are wanting to find, as this will make it a lot easier for you to narrow your choices when you are walking through stores, and will prevent you from ending up with lots of furniture that does not look good together at all!

And because you are likely to spend a lot of money on new furniture, realize just how important it is that you take the time to shop around, looking for good deals - and in fact, if you are going to be staying in a temporary residence, you may even consider shopping for lightly-used furniture, to save you even more money!

Buying furniture will be full of big decisions, and because of this, it is not something you should take lightly; keep these tips in mind as you head out to shop, and you will be able to ensure that you are getting furniture you really want, and at a price you are willing to pay!

Getting The Most Out Of Netflix

The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
If you have a Netflix account, you might be one of those people who absolutely loves Netflix, or you might be one of those people who wonders what on earth it is about Netflix that causes so many people to say they love it! Chances are pretty good that you are taking the right steps to make the most out of your Netflix account if you are one of those people who loves Netflix, but if you fall into the latter of these two categories, you are probably doing a few things incorrectly, which is putting you in a position where you do not enjoy Netflix quite as much as you should.

One of the best things about Netflix (that is to say, one of the things about Netflix that those who love it enjoy the most) is that it does a great job of suggesting movies that the owner of each account will truly enjoy; if you do not rate your movies, however, Netflix will have no clue what to suggest to you – so when you watch a new movie, take the time to rate it, and even consider going back and rating old movies you have seen!

Failing to use the queue is another thing that can keep you from getting the most out of your Netflix account; make sure you not only set up the movies you want to see immediately, but also set up the movies you want to see down the road, as this will enable you to continue to send back movies and get new ones right away.

And of course, one of the best features of all about Netflix is the “Instant Play” option; take advantage of all the movies that Netflix makes available through “Instant Play,” and you will have a lot more viewing options than you would otherwise have.

You will get a lot more out of your Netflix account than you were getting out of it before when you take these steps – and you will finally understand what it is about Netflix that makes people love it so much!

Tips For Rating Your Movies On Netflix

The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
If you have a Netflix account, there will be plenty of things you will want to make sure you know, and there will be plenty of advantages to the account you will want to dive into, but one thing you will especially want to make sure you are aware of - and one of the best advantages Netflix provides - is the rating system on the Netflix website. With Netflix, you have the ability to rate every movie or television show you see on a scale of one star to five stars (with one star being the worst, and five stars being the best), and the website then uses your ratings on different television shows and movies to try to match you up with suggestions of other shows and movies they think you are likely to enjoy.

Some people log onto their Netflix account and simply add ratings to everything they have ever seen, without realizing that the mood they are when they are rating shows and movies will often affect the rating they give; rather than simply tossing ratings around without any formula or system, it will be far more effective if you go in with a well thought out approach.

When using the ratings system on Netflix to rate the shows and movies you have seen, you should maximize your use of the three and four star ratings, saving the "extremes" (the one and two star ratings, and the five star ratings) for movies that you simply cannot get away from hating or cannot get away from loving, as this approach will help to ensure that you are only giving a movie the death kiss of "one or two stars" and are only praising a movie as "five stars" when you truly feel strongly about that movie. Netflix will be much better equipped to give you movies that fit your true tastes when you do this, as the suggestions they provide you with will be more greatly influenced by the movies you truly hate or love than by the movies about which you felt relatively neutral.

You will begin to get suggestions from Netflix once you have rated enough of the shows and movies that you have seen - and the more ratings you provide, the more accurate these suggestions will be - so make sure you take advantage of these suggestions, and allow Netflix to provide you with new movies that you can add to your favorites!

Exploring The Best Snorkel Spots In Florida

The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
When it comes to enjoying the ocean in a pleasant and relaxing manner, there are few ways more pleasant than snorkeling, as snorkeling allows you to truly immerse yourself in the endless beauty of a coral reef, without forcing you to go through all the hoops required to get out there with scuba gear. When snorkeling comes to mind, most people think of some of the famous snorkeling spots from around the world - such as the Greek islands, or the Great Barrier Reef in Australia - but if you live in the United States, you should know that there is also great snorkeling here, and some of the best snorkeling in the States can be found in Florida!

John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park: The entire "State Park" in question is located underwater, as it encompasses one of the most beautiful and thriving coral reefs in the country; every day, you have three opportunities to take a boat out to the reef (the cost is $27), and you will be able to spend the day exploring the beauty of the underwater world!

Biscayne National Park Homestead: If you are wanting to go to a place that is not quite as busy as John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park (after all, it is by no means a "hidden gem"!), check out Biscayne National Park Homestead, which offers a daily boat trip to the reef at 1:30 PM (cost of $35), and which also offers picnic and grilling areas on the shore - a truly great experience for the whole family!

Coral Cove Park: Surprisingly, one of the best snorkeling spots in the States is actually not even a coral reef; Coral Cove covers two acres, and is a limestone-boulder artificial reef that was designed in order to attract tropical fish; not only has the experiment worked, but it has been a smashing success at that, and the impossibly clear water makes it a beautiful place to explore!

There are certainly plenty of great places to visit (and to snorkel at!) all around the world, but remember that there are also great places to visit (and snorkel at) in the States - and some of the best of these options are right there in Florida!

Outdoor Interest For Your Kids

The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
Teaching your children about the outdoors can be important for their education and general respect for nature. Many people are not sure how to introduce their children to nature and over come fears that may come up. Children can be like sponges, which makes it a perfect time to start teaching them to become enviornmentally conscious.

One of the most valuable things to teach your children is not to be afraid of bugs. A lot of children are dealthy afraid of bugs until you sit down and show them they are not so scary. One of the best things you can do is allow them to take a close look at bugs. Letting you child look with a extra large magnifying glass gives them an opportunity to check them out. Turning over rocks can provide your child with views of ants, beetles, millipedes, and many other safe bugs.

Trees can also be a great learning opportunity for your child. Talk to your child about what types of trees there are. Collect and compare leaves, seeds, and bark for your child to learn from. If you want a great reference book on the subject, make sure to check out Trees Leaves and Bark. There are many different types of trees and a lot for them to explore.

Nature Science Experiments is a great book if you are looking for something more hands on. This book focuses on simple experiments to help learn about nature and science. These are easy experiments to explain somewhat in depth scientific ideas. As your children learn about the world around them, they are more likely to understand why recycling is important along with other environmental ideals. It is so important to share this with the next generation and preserve what we have now.

Tips For Helping Your Child Get Into The College Of Their Choice

The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
For some parents, the college education of their children is something they thought of since the day their children were born, while other parents have not given their children's eventual college education a single thought, in spite of the fact that their children are halfway through high school; regardless of which side of this you fall on, however - or even if you fall somewhere in the middle - it will be important that you understand some of the things you can do to help your child get into the college of their choice.

Colleges sift through thousands of applications annually, and depending on how exclusive the college, it may admit anywhere from 10% to 80% of all applicants - and if you want your child to be in the positive percentage of this equation, you will need to be aware of the three primary things colleges look at when sifting through applications and deciding which they will give greater attention.

The first things a college will look at in order to narrow down the applications are grades and test scores, and what you may not have realized is that colleges tend to give more weight to test scores than to grades, even though grades span over four years and test scores are created in a single day; this might seem unfair, but it is the only way for colleges to conduct themselves, as grading rubrics can vary greatly from school to school - so make sure you help your child understand what is contained on the standardized tests they will take, and help them prepare from the time they start high school until the time when they finally achieve the score they want to achieve!

In addition to test scores, colleges will narrow down the applications that come their way based on the extracurricular activities a student is involved in; if one student has no extracurricular activities and another student has several (and all other things are equal!), the student with more activities will be given preference, so encourage your child to participate in things outside of school, and help them realize that this will pay off in the long run.

And lastly, the essay that is part of the college application will be a big part of the decision a college makes, so help your child as much as you can, and make sure this essay is as good as it can be.

Looking At Dryers

The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
Have you ever tried to put a load of clothing on your laundry line and another in your dryer? Then have it dry out faster on your line? If this is happening, it most likely is time to get a new dryer. Dryers are becoming more energy efficient along with a wide range of features for the consumer. So what new features are out there now days that were not when your dryer was made?

Some newer models are well known for being able to dry very large loads of clothing. The LG DLG2141W claims that they can dry a very large amount of towels. This is an outstanding feature, as not only are things like towels and jeans some of the more bulky things in the wash, they are also the hardest to dry in most cases.

Most driers now come with moisture sensors built in. These sensors are great for a few reasons. They can help to reduce the wear and tear on your clothing. When the dryer stops, the clothing are dry, instead of running for a set amount of time. The moisture sensors also save energy and ultimately will save you money because they do stop when the clothing is done instead of wasting energy drying already dry clothing.

You will also see dryers such as the Electrolux EIMED55IIW that are chocked full of features such as an LCD screen that tells you information such as when your lint trap needs to be emptied. These machines contain so many bells and whistles that you can dry just baout anything in record time. These machines can actually make doing laundry fun now days.

How To Tighten Up Your Spending

The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
A lot of times, money can be a difficult thing, as it can seem like there is just never enough when you really need it - but for most people who feel this way, one thing they will typically find is that one of the reasons they do not have enough money when they "really need it" is because they spent this money on other things they did not really need; because of this tendency many people have to overspend without thinking much about what will happen down the road, it is tremendously beneficial to know what you can do to tighten up your spending!

Food and drinks is one of the big areas where people tend to spend a lot of extra money; while groceries are a necessary expense, of course, a lot of people spend far more than they need to on food, as they go out to eat on a regular basis, grab fast food for lunch and even breakfast, and pay for expensive specialty drinks every day from their favorite coffee shop - but if you are looking to cut back on spending, this is the first place you should look, realizing that a small sacrifice here can free up a lot of money for other things that you will enjoy quite a bit more down the road.

Impulse buying on items they do not really need is another problem a lot of people have; while discipline is at the core of keeping yourself from purchasing such items, the best way to accommodate this discipline is to have a 48 hour rule - saying that any time you see something you think you want, you will wait 48 hours before making a decision to buy that item!

And if you have something specific that you would like to have more spending money for, this can help you to not spend money on all the little things that have a tendency to deplete your budget. As little things pop up and try to beg for your money, keep this bigger item - the bigger picture - in mind, and this will help you to maintain discipline toward that item you will be a lot happier to have!

Choosing A Camping Grill

The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
After water, your body's biggest need for survival is food, and even though you will hopefully not be trying to "survive" when you go on your camping trip, camping is still a survival adventure - which means that it is important for you to have food! There are plenty of options to choose from in the way of camping grills, so here is a rundown of some of the more common options to help you narrow down your choices to the grill that is right for you.

Top grill: A top grill is a popular option, but it is also the most difficult to transport and the most difficult to manage, as it is literally just a big piece of metal that stands right over your open fire and allows your food to cook! This is a fine option as long as you are comfortable around fire and will be driving to your destination, but otherwise, it is not much help.

Swing grill: When it comes to camping, the swing grill is great, because you can cook over the open fire, but you can also raise and lower the grill, and can swing it away from the fire when it is time to add more food to it or remove the food that is already on there.

Propane grill: Of course, the propane grill takes you away from that campfire everyone loves to have, but it is also a quick and easy way to prepare your food, and you will not have to worry about what the weather is doing. Propane grills used to be clunky and difficult to travel with or manage, but as they have grown in popularity, they have also grown in ease of travel and usage, making them the all-around best option for those who don't mind missing out on the campfire experience.

Regardless of which of these you choose for your camping adventure, you should be fine - just make sure you pick one, otherwise you might go hungry the whole time you are out there!

Regular Maintenance To Make Sure You Keep Up With On Your House

The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
It is often said that your house is an investment, and while grasping this concept is quite easy, one aspect of this concept that can be a bit more difficult for people to grab hold of is the fact that - like any investment - the value of this investment can go up or down; although it would be nice to think that you could simply let your house sit there and it would appreciate in value, this will probably cause the value of your house to steadily decline, as there are a few specific "maintenance" things you will need to do in order to keep your house in good shape and keep its value on the rise.

When people look at your house, the first thing they will see is your yard, and because of this (and because of the fact that the land on which your house sits is often the most valuable part of the property), you will want to keep your yard in great shape; this means everything from trimming the hedges before they get too high, mowing, watering, and fertilizing the lawn, and raking leaves before the winter comes and causes them to stick to the grass!

On the inside of your house, one of the big things that will make a difference in the way everything looks is the floors, and this is not really something you can keep up with "every once in a while"; not only should you be sure to sweep and vacuum the floors of your house at least once a week, but you should also make sure the baseboards in your house are cleaned at least once a month, as failing to keep up with these two things can cause the dust and dirt to leave permanent stains behind!

And even though pushing all the little problems aside as they crop up might be easier, you should be aware of the fact that doing this will only cause these problems to escalate until they become things that cost you a lot of money! Take the time to fix problems as they show up in your house, and this will keep your house in good shape for a long time to come, and will ensure that the value of your house continues to climb, instead of starting to fall!

How To Keep Your Car Cool When It's Parked

The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
There is not much that feels more miserable than getting into a car that is twenty or thirty degrees hotter than the temperature outside in the middle of summer – and in fact, if you do not take the proper precautions to keep your car cooler when it is parked, your car can even be so hot that you will have to wait to drive it! Regardless of the precautions you take, you will still have to put up with a little bit of heat during the hot summer months, but these steps will help to make your car more bearable during these hot months of summer.

If you want to keep your car from being so hot, one of the main things you will have to do is park in the shade – but you cannot simply park where the shade is, as the sun will move during the day; when you are parking at a place where you will be for a while, you should figure out where the shade will be by the time you are returning to your car (and remember, it is better to park in the shade and walk a little ways than to park in the sun and have your car feel like an oven!).

Cracking your windows when you park will also be helpful; some people do not like to crack their windows, as they feel this makes their car more susceptible to break-ins, but if you crack your windows just a bit, your car will remain safe, and it will also remain a whole lot cooler.

You can also block the sun from coming in through your windshield by creating a bit of shade when there is no natural shade; while people think of car shades as being “very 1980s,” there are actually some very classy car shades being made today, and this will make your car feel a whole lot better when you get back in.

If you make sure to pay attention to these tips, your car will not be nearly so hot during the summer – which will make driving a whole lot easier, and a whole lot more enjoyable!

How To Enter A New School Year The Right Way

The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
One of the most important things to having a successful school year, regardless of whether you are in high school or college, or have a son or daughter who is in high school or college, is starting the school year the right way. And even though it is true that every student, every school, and every situation are all unique unto themselves, there are still a few particular rules you can keep in mind in order to ensure that you are entering the school year the right way.

Students have a tendency to think that the first week or two of school “is mostly orientation” type stuff, which then makes them think that there is no real need to be at these early classes, or at least that there is no real need to pay close attention; but when you fail to fully participate in or pay attention to the early weeks in the school year, you will often find that you are behind for the rest of the year – so make sure you are attending all classes and always paying close attention.

Another mistake lots of students make is that they wait a while before getting the items that are suggested to them for their class; find out if you can get a list of suggested items before the school year even begins, so that you can pick up the supplies you need early rather than picking them up late!

And oftentimes, it is at the beginning of the school year that you will be able to judge and assess the areas in which you are strong and the areas in which you will need some help; most classes build upon the things taught throughout the semester, so if you find that you are having a hard time grasping a concept or topic early on, this is the time to solve the problem, as solving the problem early will set you up for success throughout the remainder of the school year!

Is A Lionfish A Good Option For My Saltwater Tank?

The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
One of the biggest mistakes beginner saltwater aquarium enthusiasts make is finding a pretty fish and deciding that this is "the right fish" for them! Usually, people end up making this decision when the fish they are looking at is more exotic and more beautiful than any of the fish around it. But many beginners fail to realize that in addition to these fish being more exotic and beautiful, they are also more difficult to care for!

image

Out of all these exotic and beautiful fish, one of the most exotic and beautiful of all is the lionfish - which, actually, has the proper name of "scorpionfish." And if you are wondering why this fish is actually called the scorpionfish, you don't need to look any further than the reason why these fish are not good for beginners. The long spines of the lionfish that make them so attractive in an aquarium are also able to give a highly venomous sting! And if you put one of these into your own tank and do not know everything about them that you should, you may very well end up with a nasty sting!

image

Here are a few other things you should know about the lionfish, if you feel you have been keeping a saltwater aquarium long enough to take care of one without getting stung.

Lionfish are meat eaters, and generally speaking, they prefer live food - which means that small fish and crustaceans are not good to keep with them! You can typically train a lionfish to eat frozen brine, shrimp, or clams if you get them when they are still young.

image

Your lionfish will also need a lot of room, and you should not add one to your tank unless you have a tank that is at least 75 gallons - preferably larger. You should also know that lionfish do most of their hunting and swimming at nighttime, which means that you will probably not see a whole lot of them.

If you keep the lionfish in a sizable tank with big enough fish, it will be a good tank mate, and will be extremely hardy. But before you add one, make sure you know as much about them as you should - for your own safety!

Tips For Training Your Children In Basic Table Manners

The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
When it comes to parenting your children, there are a lot of things you will take responsibility for that will seem quite obvious to you, but one area you might not even think of is that you need to train your children to have proper table manners. After all, most of your meals at home will probably be fairly informal (if they are even eaten at the table at all!), and because of this, it can be easy to completely forget that good table manners are not a matter of instinct, but instead must be taught!

In order for your children to end up with good table manners, of course, they will have to practice good table manners - and this will entail some of your meals being taken at the table; even if your family does not usually sit down at the table to eat, try to change this so that you eat at the table at least once a week, as this will give your children a chance to practice.

First off, always make sure your children are starting off the meal the right way - putting their napkin on their lap, waiting for the "host" (or the person who cooked the meal - which is probably you!) to eat first, and holding their silverware the right way.

After you have gotten your children to a point where these practices have become "habit," start focusing on their manners during the meal - which is to say chewing with their mouth closed, not talking with food in their mouth, and (one of the areas that is so easy to forget about!) keeping their elbows off the table.

At the end of the meal, they should ask to be excused from the table before they are allowed to leave (or as they get older, they should wait until the "host" is finished eating and has stood up before they stand up from the table) - and through all of this, the most important thing of all for you to remember is this: Your children will watch you, so you must make sure you are modeling the behavior you wish for them to pick up!

How To Boost The Resale Value Of Your Home

The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
In addition to being a place for you to live, your home is also an investment; in keeping up your house as a place to live, you will be wanting to do everything you can to make your house feel “homey” and comfortable, but while doing this, you will also be wanting to keep in mind the things you are doing with your house as an investment – that is, the things you are doing to boost your home’s resale value.

When you are decorating your house, there will be some things (such as paintings and furniture) that will leave when you leave, while there will be other things (such as the colors of the walls, or the carpet in the house) that will stay behind. When it comes to paying attention to your house's resale value, you will want to make sure that anything in the house that will be staying behind when you leave is “timeless” – this means that you should not decorate your house in a “modern” manner, trying to stay with trends, but should decorate your house in such a way that it will still look good ten or twenty years from now.

Another big part of the resale value of your house will be its landscaping; if your “landscaping” consists of nothing more than a lawn and some trees, it will not appeal to prospective buyers nearly as much as a lawn that is contoured and full of beauty!

And the upkeep of your house, of course, will go a long way in determining your house's resale value; too many homeowners try to “fix everything up” at once when it comes time to sell their home, when it is so much easier (and so much more effective!) to simply keep up with your house as you go along.

When you continue to see your house as an “investment” in addition to seeing it as a “home,” you will be able to follow these tips to boost the resale value of your home, which will help you to get the most out of this investment down the road.

How To Add A Frogfish To Your Saltwater Tank

The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
image

If you have a saltwater fish tank, one of the funnest things about it is exploring new fish that you can add to your collection. Any seasoned veteran knows the importance of researching a fish before adding them, but many newer saltwater enthusiasts make the mistake of adding fish on a whim. As some fish are not meant to go with others, this can be a dangerous practice, and this is the case for the frogfish to the greatest degree possible!

The frogfish is in the angler family, and it is one of the most popular aquarium fish for its unique appearance. The frogfish is an expert at camouflaging, and it will take on the appearance of its surroundings in really strange ways! Many people believe that the frogfish camouflages itself in order to hide from predators, which also leads these people to imagine that the frogfish is docile. But actually, the frogfish is an aggressive predator, and you may end up with no other fish left if you put it into your tank!

image

There are a couple important considerations to keep in mind if you decide that you want to house a frogfish in your tank. Firstly, you should realize that frogfish will eat fish up to twice as large as it, so you cannot simply put them into a tank with larger fish and think these other fish will be okay! Secondly, you need to remember that the frogfish camouflages itself by taking on the appearance of its surroundings; this means they will not be much fun to look at if you keep them in a dull-looking tank! If you decide that a frogfish is the right choice for you, do your best to replicate the coral reef environment they are used to.

Even with the right environment and an otherwise empty tank, some people find that they have a hard time getting their frogfish to eat. And some people find, on the other hand, that their frogfish has a tendency to become sick from overeating! When it comes down to it, the frogfish is a serious commitment, and even if you put them in a good tank, they are no guarantee; if you get a good, cooperative frogfish, however, you will surely enjoy them!

Looking At Great Places To Visit In The Winter

The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
When it comes to traveling, people generally think of summer as the best time to do it (and if you have children, summer often is the best time of year to travel, as they will not have school), but even though summer gives you the opportunity to visit warm climates where you can relax outdoors, there are plenty of great things to be said about traveling during the winter as well - especially if you pick the right place to travel to!

People often think of Colorado when they think of going skiing in the winter, but while Colorado is certainly a marvelous ski destination, another place to keep in mind is New Mexico; the facts that you will deal with smaller crowds than you would in Colorado, while still being able to ski the Rockies, are a couple of the great things about New Mexico, as well as the fact that you will have beautiful scenery and sights to see off the mountain, and you will not have to deal with weather that is as cold as that in Colorado!

Of course, another place where you can go skiing in the States is New England, and even though these mountains are smaller than the ones to the west, they are typically more family-friendly as well - and best of all, you will not only have Boston and New York in close proximity if you ski New England, but you will have the coastline and the beautiful Atlantic Ocean at your disposal as well.

And if you want to get away from the cold weather and spend a bit of time rejuvenating yourself in the sun, of course, there is hardly a better place to go during the winter than the Caribbean! People often think of summer as the best time to visit a place such as the Caribbean, but rather than visiting these tropical islands in the summer - when it is warm at home as well - you can get away from the cold weather completely by traveling there in the winter, and if you know where to look, this trip can be a lot less expensive than you might expect, which makes it even more worth it when it finally comes time to go!

Tips For Worrying About What You Can Control

The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
"Worrying" is one of the worst things you can do in life, as it accomplishes nothing, while actually increasing your stress, lowering your immune system, and injuring your overall quality of life, but while most people certainly do not have a desire to worry, it can be a bit more difficult to not worry than just deciding you will not; because of this, it is beneficial to understand what you can do in order to not worry so much - namely, to learn to only worry about the things that you can control.

One of the toughest environments in which to only worry about the things you can control is at your job, as there will be so many things outside of what you can control that will affect what happens to you; but you need to realize that the only way you can influence the things you cannot control is by taking care of the things you can control - and once you realize this, it will make it much easier for you to focus fully on those things over which you have control, as this will allow all those other things to eventually fall in line as well.

Another big area where people worry a lot about things they cannot control is with money, which leaves them in a place where they keep doing the same things and worrying the same amount and doing nothing to influence their money situation at all; realize that there are a couple things you can do in order to take care of your money situation - you can figure out ways to make more money, and you can tighten up your spending so you have more money for important things - and outside of "worrying about" these things, there is no need to worry about money at all!

And it is easy to worry about what others think of you when it comes to your relationships, but rather than worrying about what people think of you or how people are reacting to you, realize that if you treat everyone you come across with love and respect, things will all work out.

As you move through your daily life, keep these thoughts in mind, and you will soon see that worry melting away - and the things you actually can take care of will continue to improve!

Picking A Major In College

The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
If high school is coming to an end for you (or if you have a child for whom high school is coming to an end), this is an exciting time, as the transition from high school to college - from adolescence to adulthood, from "living at home" to "living on your own" - begins. But this can also be an overwhelming time, and one of the most overwhelming decisions of all is the major you will decide upon, as this single decision will have a great impact on the rest of your future.

When people enter college, a lot of them make the mistake of choosing a major based on what they believe will make them "good money" after school, but if they are studying something they do not enjoy, or if they are studying something they are not well-suited for, they will not meet the success other students with the same degree might.

You are in tremendous shape if you enter college knowing what you want to do after school; even though some might tell you to "make sure you choose a profitable major," you should always major in the area that you are passionate about, as this will lead you toward a job that you can enjoy working for the next forty years!

At the same time, however, there are many students who go into college without a specific area they are passionate about, and without something specific that they enjoy studying. Do not pick a major based on "what will make the most money" if this is the case for you, as you might end up studying something you are not well-suited for; instead, find the subject (or subjects) that you are most adept at, and as you study these areas you will start to see your future opening for you.

When it comes to choosing a major, there is no "exact science," as it is different for every person, but as long as you choose something you are passionate about or something your brain is well-suited for, you will be in great shape as you move out of college, into your future!

Tips For Having Success With Road Trips

The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
There is a good chance you will be embarking on a road trip sometime soon now that summer is nearly here, and regardless of whether this road trip will be with your family, with your friends, or with your significant other, there are some aspects for you to keep in mind in order for your road trip to be a success.

Avoid getting lost: This might seem like an obvious point, and when it comes to "driving around town," it is usually difficult to get lost in the first place - but when it comes to road trips, it is easy to get lulled into a careless complacency, and to suddenly realize that you are two hours off course!

Plan your stops well: This is more difficult to do the more people you have in the car, but you should always try to coincide your gas stops with food and bathroom stops, as this will cut down on unnecessary, additional stops that do nothing but slow down the trip.

Be open to extra stops: Of course, extra stops are also part of the fun of a road trip - and since you should stop at least once between every gas stop to stretch your arms and legs, you should keep your eyes out for scenic outlooks or for historic landmarks that you can stop at, which will give you the opportunity to see cool sights, make memories, and stretch your arms and legs, all at once.

Have fun: This is the biggest part of making a road trip successful; even if you are only taking a road trip as a means to get you from "here" to "there," you can still make a "vacation" out of the drive itself, transforming it from a "task" to something fun and memorable.

By following these tips, you will not only be able to get to your destination in one piece, but you will be able to do so in a manner that is time-efficient, free from stress, and full of memories!

About Raising Oscars

The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
Many people see the flashy Oscar fish in the store and think that it would be a great addition to their ten-gallon tank. What people don’t understand is that these fish get very big and although their tank size is listed at ten gallons they will outgrow this in short order. It is most common to setup a single oscar to live in a 90 to 100 gallon tank. If you plan on having three Oscars (two Oscars are typically not a good idea) you will need closer to a 150 to 200 gallon tank.

They are a tropical fish which prefer temperatures in the mid seventies, making water heaters a must. How many   you need will depend on the size of tank.

You tank may require you to purchase two heaters. The size of tank may also require you to upgrade to a canister filter. The traditional hang on back filter will not be sufficient for an oscar. They are incredibly dirty fish and messy eaters. It is much better to over filter their tank then under filtering. Plan on getting a filter that is rated for a 150 gallon tank or higher and putting it into your 100 gallon tank. A good biological filter for an oscar is ideal.

They also seem to prefer rock and drift wood decorations over plastic or even real plants. It is preferable to make your tank full of things that are unmovable, or bare of things like plants. You should go with a fine rock substrate over larger washed river stone when possible. This is because oscars love to be able to move the bottoms of their tank around as they desire.

It is definiately recommended to do a bit of research before purchasing this unique cichlid. You can learn how to keep your oscar happy and healthy for it's full life by following this great book: Aquarium Care of Oscars.

Tips For Finding Good Deals On Parking In A City

The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
One thing you will probably do before you take a trip to a city is budget your money so that you will know exactly how much you will have for spending on each thing you want to spend money on - but once you arrive in the city, you could be in for quite a shock if you failed to budget money for parking when you were doing your pre-planning; of course, it is quite natural to not think about budgeting money for parking (after all, it is difficult to fathom just how much you will have to spend simply to park your car if you are not careful!), and for this reason, it will be valuable to you to know a few things you can do in order to find good deals on parking when you visit a city.

You might have it in your head that "feeding the meter" would be an interminably annoying thing to do, as you would have to return to your car every couple hours to put more money in - but if you are looking to save money on parking, this is often the best way for you to go; as long as you will be near enough to your car during your time in the city, consider feeding the meter, as this will save you a nice chunk of money over what you would spend in a parking garage.

Of course, if you are going to be moving around the city quite a bit, a parking meter will not work - but if this is the case, take the time to search for coupons for different parking garages, or to search for a parking garage that offers better rates than others; it will usually cost you less to park further from your intended destination and take public transportation from there than to park directly next to where you are trying to go.

And if you plan to take public transportation anyway, you could especially save money by parking outside the city and taking public transportation in. When you do this, you will have the flexibility to move around the city at will, and will not have to spend nearly as much as you would have to if you had brought your car in among all the tall buildings and the parking garages with sky-high prices to match!
