The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
For most people, when they hear “keeping notes,” their mind automatically jumps back to their days in college when they had to sit in lectures with a pen ready over an open notebook, trying to capture everything the professor said, but long after you have finished college and moved on with your life, there are still plenty of great reasons to keep notes. One of the greatest keys, if you want to achieve success in life, is finding the “little things” that help you achieve success; many people find that one of these “little things” is keeping notes, so read through some of these note-keeping ideas, and see if one (or even all of them!) would work for you. On your mirror: keeping notes on your mirror is a great way to start your day on the right foot; whether you write these notes on index cards and tape them to your mirror or choose instead to simply write the notes on the mirror itself, leaving yourself notes of encouragement that you can read each morning as you get ready is a great way to begin each day, attacking it with the right attitude and setting yourself up for success. In a notebook: people hear all the time that they should write down their goals, as an individual is far more likely to achieve their goals if these goals are written down, but while a lot of people take the first step of writing down their goals, they rarely take the next step of actually reading these goals; you should read through your goals every day, keeping them in a notebook or even recording an audio of them so that you can dive into your “goal notes” on a daily basis. For others: and as you leave notes for yourself, doing what you can to lift yourself up and improve your personal life, you should also leave notes for others; even though it seems like a small thing to do, leaving a simple note for a friend or family member – either giving them encouragement, or even just letting them know they are special to you – will often give that friend or family member a huge boost for the rest of their day!
