The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships
When most people think of camping, they think of summertime (and for good reason, as camping out on a warm summer night is certainly pleasant and easy to do!), but as far as camping goes, there is nothing quite like a crisp, autumn afternoon and evening; of course, during the summer, the only thing you really need to do to plan a great camping trip is make sure there is no rain in the forecast - but when it comes to autumn camping, there will be a few additional things you will want to keep in mind. For starters, you should not only be looking for days when you will not have to deal with rain as you watch the weather, but you should also watch for days when the weather will not be so cold that it ruins your trip; make sure you have picked a place where you know there will be a great collection of autumn leaves, and then watch the weather for a day when it will be warm enough and dry enough to go! Even as you keep your eyes out for dry and warm days in autumn, of course, you should also realize that it is likely to be cold at night when you go camping in autumn, and you will want to plan accordingly; make sure you have some warm clothes (some lightweight, warm clothes if you will be backpacking!), and make sure your sleeping bag is heavy-duty enough to keep you warm through a chilly outdoor night. And while camping in the summer typically allows you to find great camping spots fairly close to home, realize that good autumn camping may require you to travel a little ways - but this extra effort will be worth it; of course, you may be fortunate enough to have beautiful autumn camping close to your house, but if you need to drive a couple hours for a good spot, you will certainly not regret it! For anyone who loves to go camping (or even for anyone who has a moderate affection for camping!), there isn't anything quite like a day or two of autumn camping - especially when you go about doing it the right way!
